Dr. Carson was fortunate enough to discover the field of audiology during her undergraduate work at Penn State University, and fell in love with her work right away. She really enjoys the mix of diagnostics testing, working with technology, and most of all the ongoing relationships that she is able to build with her patients and the ability to signficiantly improve their quality of life. Hearing loss is a challenging condition — it affects all areas of life including personal relationships and production at work, and often has a very emotional component for not only the patient, but also for his/her family members and friends. Dr. Carson believes that the ability to allow people to live a fuller life through improved communication abilities has been a very rewarding career choice.
Dr. Carson lives in Howard County with her husband, Ryan who is a teacher and varsity basketball coach in the Howard County Public School System. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, watching her husband coach basketball, and playing tennis.

Origins of Clarity Audiology & Hearing Solutions
Clarity Audiology & Hearing Solutions is a locally, independently owned audiology practice in Ellicott City, MD. As an independent practice, we are not influenced by manufacturer contracts or sales incentives. We will recommend the hearing aid that is best for your individual hearing loss & listening needs.
Clarity Audiology opened in Ellicotty City in September 2010. Dr. Carson opened the practice after purchasing the practice assets of The Center for Better Hearing from audiologist Raymond Rembe in 2010. The Center for Better Hearing was an established practice in the area for over 30 years. The Center had an office in Windor Mill, MD for over 30 years and also had a satellite office in Columbia, MD for a few years. Mr. Rembe sold the practice to Dr. Carson before moving to Alaska with his wife Janet to spend more time with their daughter during their retirement.
