Mary L. Carson
Au.D., F-AAA, F-ADA
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Mary Carson is a licensed, clinical audiologist in the state of Maryland. She received her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders from Penn State University and her Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from Towson University. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, also a Fellow of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, and a Member of the Maryland Academy of Audiology. Dr. Carson is also the Board President for the Entheos Audiology Cooperative working to promote and support private, independent audiology clinics, best clinical practices, and give back efforts to make hearing care accessible for all.
Dr. Carson specializes in adult and pediatric hearing testing, and the fitting/programming/repairing of all makes and models of hearing aids. She frequently visits local senior centers and assisted living centers for community outreach events. Dr. Carson really enjoys the ongoing relationships that she is able to build with her patients and the ability to significantly improve their quality of life.
Hearing loss is a challenging condition — it affects all areas of life including personal relationships and production at work, and often has a very emotional component for not only the patient, but also for his/her family members and friends. Dr. Carson believes that the ability to allow people to live a fuller life through improved communication abilities has been a very rewarding career choice.
Dr. Carson lives with her husband, Ryan, their two children, Jack and Ava, and their mini bernedoodle Pax. When not working in and on her practice, she can often be found on the baseball field, basketball court, soccer field, or field hockey field coaching or cheering on Jack & Ava.
Lisa Bragg
Au.D., F-AAA
Doctor of Audiology
Lisa Bragg, Au.D. obtained her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Audiology degrees from Towson University. Dr. Bragg is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She joins Clarity Audiology & Hearing Solutions, LLC after several years of private practice experience. Her goal is to ensure that hearing loss does not hinder her patients’ relationships with loved ones and will recommend the best treatment solutions based on their type of impairment and lifestyle. She will take the time to understand her patient’s history and personal objectives to provide a customized experience. Dr. Bragg stays up to date with the latest technology and accessories so that her patients can stay connected, even in challenging listening environments.
She resides in Perry Hall with her husband Bruce, her sons Trey, Tanner and Tate, and her West Highland Terrier, Wesley. Dr. Bragg values quality time spent with her family and friends, especially summer trips to the beach.
Emilie Carney
Au.D., F-AAA
Doctor of Audiology
Emilie Carney, Au.D. obtained her Bachelor of Science (B.S) from West Virginia University and her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D) from Towson University. She has been practicing Audiology for over 9 years and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Dr. Carney was born in France and moved to the United States when she as 5 years old and rasied in Howard County. She is excited to be back in her community helping those with hearing loss. Her main career goal is to provide innovative solutions for individuals with hearing loss using the latest amplification technology for their listening needs. Dr. Carney lives with her husband and young daughter Audrey and loves traveling and spending time with her friends and family.
Katelyn Leitner
Au.D., CCC-A
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Katelyn “Katie” Leitner, Au.D., adds more than 8 years of private practice experience with her addition in 2023. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Buffalo and her Clinical Doctorate in Audiology at the University at Pittsburgh before moving to Maryland to live with her husband, who is a Maryland native. Katie holds certifications in Clinical Competence (CCC-A) through the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and Holder-Tinnitus Management (CH-TM). In addition, she is Treasurer of the Maryland Academy of Audiology (MAA), as well as a member of both the American Tinnitus Association (ATA) and the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA).
Outside of the office, Dr. Leitner and her husband are eagerly collecting National Park Passport stamps as they explore the country. If you have a National Parks story, she wants to hear it at your next appointment!
Amy DeHart
Community Outreach Coordinator
Amy has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Mary Washington and a Master of Arts degree in Publications Design from the University of Baltimore. As our Community Outreach Coordinator, Amy helps Clarity Audiology to connect with the broader communities in which we serve. Through physician marketing, organization of special events, such as seminars and hearing screenings, and regular marketing initiatives, Amy helps create and sustain positive relationships with patients and medical professionals. Outside of the office, Amy likes to spend time with her husband, three daughters and little dog, Zeke.
Sarah Mooney
Practice Administrator
Sarah brings 27 years of medical office administration experience to our office. As Front Office Manager, Sarah is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front office as well as coordinating leasing and patient referrals. Her can-do attitude keeps our office running efficiently! Sarah is the mom to 5 children: David, Morena, McKenna, Brayden, and Ainsley. She also has one fur child, a dog named Finley. When not in the office, Sarah enjoys spending time with her kids, dog and her husband, John.
Julie Martin
Front Desk Manager
Julie was born and raised in Catonsville. She has over 35 years of administrative leadership and administrative experience. Julie decided to leave the high-pressure corporate world and was interested in working in a care-based practice, where people are helped and healed. We welcome her vast experience and are delighted to have her on our team. Julie has two grown children, Joseph and Olivia. She still resides in Catonsville.
Kathleen Benik
Patient Care Coordinator
Born and raised in Maryland, Kathleen graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Outside of the office, Kathleen enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Jamie. As our Patient Care Coordinator, Kathleen is focused on working with patients and answering their questions so they feel comfortable with their hearing aids. We are excited to have her as part of the Clarity Team!
